The marina offers a much needed facility to local people and travelling sailors alike,\u00a0offering safe\u00a0berthing in all but easterly and south westerly squalls.<\/p><p>Comman Na Mara was the first body in the UK to secure Local Management Agreement (LMA) for community control of a section of the seabed from the Crown Estate. Dr John\u2019s vision ensures that this\u00a0facility offers an excellent gateway to the remainder of the Western Isles and beyond.<\/p><p>Visitors have the benefit of\u00a0competitive\u00a0berthing rates, a great location, water, electricity and WiFi (coming soon). This is all available by viewing our pricing and paying us online either by PayPal or direct bank transfer. Local\u00a0facilities\u00a0including the very close by\u00a0Lochmaddy Hotel, offering excellent dine in and takeaway food, 7 days per week (&lt;1\/4 mile distance). The fuel pumps (&lt;1\/2 mile distance) \u2013 offering both\u00a0petrol and\u00a0diesel \u2013 are within easy access of\u00a0the marina. Other places to eat are listed on the\u00a0North Uist\u00a0page.<\/p><p>There are additional shower, toilet and laundry facilities based on shore, just at the marina entrance, offering clean facilities.
